ආහාර හා කෘෂිකාර්මික නිශ්පාදන වැඩිදියුණු කිරීම තුලින් ජීවනෝපාය සංවර්ධනය – Livelihood development through improvement of food and agricultural production

මේ යටතේ කෘෂි හා වැවිලි, ගෙවතු, ආහාර බෝග නිෂ්පාදනය කිරීම හා ආහාර බෝගවල ගුණාත්මක තත්වය වැඩි දියුණු කිරීම සිදු කරන ලදී . ශ‍්‍රී ලංකාව වර්තමානයේ මුහුණ පා සිටින ආර්ථික අර්බුදයත් ඊට සාපේක්ෂව මතුවී ඇති ආහාර අර්බුදයත් ඉලක්ක කොට ගෙන ජනතාවගේ කෘෂිකාර්මික හා ආර්ථික නිෂ්පාදන ඵලදායිතාව ඉහල නැන්වීමේ අවශ්‍යතාවය ප්‍රභලව ඉස්මතු විය .ඊට පිලියමක් ලෙස, ගාල්ල දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ නෙලුව ප්‍රාදේශීය ලේකම් කොට්ඨාසයේ ග්‍රාම නිලදාරී වසම් 34ක 30743 ජනග්‍රහනයෙන් 15708 දෙනෙක් ආවරණය වන පරිදි පුරන් කුඹුරු අක්කර 108ක් අස්වැද්දීම සිදු කරන ලදී . ඒ හරහා වී අසවැන්න 95%කින් ඉහල නැන්වූ අතර දිස්ත්‍රිකයේ පුරන් කුඹුරු අස්වැද්දීම අතින් නෙලුව ප්‍රාදේශීය ලේකම් කොට්ඨාසය 2022 මහ කන්නයේ දී පළමු ස්ථානයට පත් විය.

වසර 5 සිට 20 දක්වා කාලයක් පුරන්ව පැවති අක්කර 139ක් ආසන්න වශයෙන් එලිපෙහෙලි කිරීම සදහාත්, ඉදිරි කන්න වලදී වී වගාව සදහා අවශ්‍ය ජල වහනය සදහා ඇලමාර්ග සකස්කිරීමත් ,ගොවීන් සදහා බිත්තර වී ලබා දීම, කෘෂි පොහොර ලබා දීම්, ගොවි සංවිධාන ශක්තිමත් කිරිම සහ ගොවි සංවිධාන සදහා කෘෂි උපකරණ ලබාදීම, මඩ ගොවිතැන මෙන්ම ගොඩ ගොවිතැන සදහාද, අතුරු කන්නයේ බෝග වගාවන් සදහාද, ගොවීන් පුහුණු කිරීම හා දිරි ගැන්වීමේ වැඩ සටහන් පැවත්වීම,පළිබෝධ පාලනය පිලිබද තාක්ෂණික පුහුණුවක් ලබා දීම, ගොවි කාන්තාවන් හා තරුණයින් පුහුණු කිරීම සහ කෘෂිකර්මයේ තිරසාර පැවත්ම සදහා තිරසාර ගොවිතැන් ක්‍රම ප්‍රචලිත කරවීමද මේ යටතේ සිදු කලේය.

මෙයට අමතරව ආහාර නිශ්පාදනය වැඩි දියුණු කිරීම උදෙසා දේශීය ආහාරවල ගුණාත්මක තත්වය වැඩි දියුණු කිරීමේ පුහුණු පාඨමාලාවක් ප්‍රවර්ධනය කරන ලදී.ඒ සදහා ගෘහනියන් කාන්තාවන් හා කුඩාපරිමාණ ආහාර නිශ්පාදකයින් හා ව්‍යවසායකයින්  පුහුණු කරන ලදී.

පාසල් දරුවන් තරුණ තරුණියන් වැඩිහිටියන් දක්වා ඔවුන්ගේ පෝෂණ ඌනතාවයන් වලක්වා ගැනීම සදහා සුදුසු ආහාර හා පෝෂණ පිලිවෙත් පිලිබදව ප්‍රජා දැනුවත් කිරීමේ වැඩ සටහනක්ද මෙම වැඩසටහන යටතේ ක්‍රියාත්මක වේ.

Under this, agricultural and plantation gardens, production of food crops and improvement of the quality of food crops were carried out. The need to increase the productivity of people’s agricultural and economic production has been strongly highlighted in view of the current economic crisis facing Sri Lanka and the corresponding food crisis.As a result, 108 acres of Puran Kumburu covering 15708 people out of 30743 population in 34 Grama Niladhari wards of Neluwa Divisional Secretary’s Division of Galle district were harvested. Through this, paddy production was increased by 95% and neluwa divisional secretary Kottasa was ranked first in terms of puran kumburu harvesting in the district (2022 season)

Approximately 139 acres of land, which was completed for 5 to 20 years, will be cleared and for paddy cultivation in the coming seasons Preparation of canals for necessary drainage, provision of eggs and paddy to farmers, strengthening of agricultural fertilizers, strengthening of farmers’ organizations and providing agricultural equipment to farmers’ organizations for mud farming as well as land farming and by-season crops Training and incentive programmes of farmers, technical training on pest control, training of farm women and youth, promotion of sustainable farming methods for sustainable development of agriculture.

In addition to this, a training series was developed to improve the quality of local food to improve food production. Housewives, women and small-scale food producers and entrepreneurs were trained for this purpose.

A community awareness programme is also being carried out under this program regarding appropriate food and nutrition practices to prevent the nutritional deficiencies of school children, youth and adults.
